I've been doing a lot of reading lately in a number of motorcycle magazines, mainly Rider and an awesome British publication I just discovered called Motorcycle Sport and Leisure (MSL).
It's really interesting to compare views from each side of the Pond and to read about two different test rides on the same machine.
The things I find most useful and entertaining in order of preference:
1. Articles on safety. Good advice and thinking points abound. Each article has a specific focus.
2. Touring accounts. It's fun to travel vicariously and some tours have made my to-do list.
3. Perspectives. Keeping up with developments in the motorcycling community.
4. Tech Q & A. Help with mechanical problems.
5. Product reviews. I like knowing what's out there and what other riders think of new products.
6. Retrospectives. Fresh looks at older bikes.
7. Test rides. New innovations help me realize what limitations my bikes have. The prices help me appreciate having bikes that are paid for! Oh yeah, and I can test ride great machines vicariously!
Happy reading!
